| The annual Kodak Salon held at the Centre for Contemporary Photography is a highlight of the photographic year. Absolutely jam packed with images, the Salon is one of the largest in Australia and open to anyone and everyone. In other news… It’s a big week for openings, with Subtext: Artists and Writing at West Space, Movements by Arlo Mountford and Nick Selenitsch at RMIT Project Space, In the Year 2525 by Nathan Gray at Utopian Slumps and 3-Day.01 at Dear Patti Smith all opening on Thursday the 3rd of February. Friday the 4th brings Gertrude Contemporary’s first show of the year, as well as 3 new shows at Rear View (featuring our dear friend Olle Holmberg). Next week brings Klara Kelvy’s elaborately titled show I want to feel what you are feeling with every fibre of my being and then I want you to feel what I feel at Kings ARI on Friday the 11th of February. There is only one month left to get your Arts Vic Creation Grant together, applications are due on the first on March. I won’t say it again! Following the positive feedback of our summer special we’ve decided to discount Ilford Smooth Pearl by 10% on an ongoing basis. Our cheapest paper is now even cheaper! Blindside Summer Studio

Alongside Helen Grogan, Melanie was selected to undertake this new initiative from Blindside over the summer months, culminating in a 4 day public open studio. Until 15 January 2011. |
